Are you an environmental professional looking to get more involved in your hyperlocal community?
Join Community Resilience for the Waterbury Area (CReW) on Wednesday, Nov. 20th at 6 pm over Zoom as we kickoff our Mitigation Committee. CReW aims to grow a committee focused on both individual home and community-wide flood mitigation that is representative of each of our towns - Waterbury, Duxbury, Moretown, Bolton, and Middlesex. At this virtual meeting, we want to learn about mitigation projects, ongoing conversations, and hurdles in each of our communities to help guide the committee forward.
Who we’d love to see at this meeting:
Environmental professionals in our very own communities who are already doing this mitigation work or who have ideas for moving forward.
Anyone interested in flood mitigation who has advocacy, community education, or information gathering skills.
Any and all community members who would like to share project ideas and conversations happening in your community.
Residents from every town in CReW’s area - Waterbury, Duxbury, Moretown, Bolton, and Middlesex.
If you’re looking for a way to get involved locally and have a skillset to put to use or ideas to share, please join us. Building climate resilience by banding together is more important now than ever. Let’s weave the bigger watershed together!
