FEMA APPEAL FINAL DEADLINE - Feb 21, 2026

If you registered for FEMA assistance after the July 2024 floods, you may still be eligible to appeal your claim until February 21st, 2026. Many homes receive a small initial amount of assistance and need to file an appeal for the full amount that they are eligible for. If you have an unresolved appeal, have not made an appeal, or just aren’t sure where you stand in the process, contact us for help.

Have you or a neighbor experienced a sewage backup during a flood event?

Community Resilience for the Waterbury Area (CReW) is hoping to learn more about homes that experienced flooding in recent years due fully or in part to sewer or septic backups. If you've had water coming out of your basement floor drain, laundry hookup, etc - we want to hear from you!

Please fill out our survey here.

This information will be used to explore options on how we can provide technical and/or financial assistance to encourage the installation of backwater devices to prevent backups in homes.
